How Petscapes Came to Be

It all began with a challenge:

31 paintings in 31 days

Armed with brushes, a bold imagination, and a promise to myself, I dove into that creative marathon, unsure where it would lead.

Having named Big Crow Studio after our new puppy (a story of its own), my Dalmatians quickly became the heart of the adventure. One day they were bounding through a winter forest; the next, posing before a serene lake with colorful wildflowers. Along came our black cat to join in on the fun in a mystical moonscape... and that was it.

By the time the challenge ended, something magical happened. I realized these tiny paintings were more than just pretty pictures -- they were stories, tiny windows into how we see and cherish our furry companions. As the joy of painting my pets grew, Petscapes were born.

Now, every Petscape celebrates the bond we share with our pets, placing them in scenes as enchanting and extraordinary as the love they bring into our lives.

So yes, it all began with 2 Dalmatians, 1 black cat, and 31 days of creativity -- proof that big ideas often have tiny beginnings!
